Schiller International University, Heidelberg, Germany
Schiller International University (SIU) is named after the German playwright and philosopher Friedrich Schiller. The university was founded in the year 1964 by Walter Leibrecht as a study-abroad program for Americans living in West Germany. In 1969, Schiller moved its international campus in Germany to Heidelberg, and in 1983 it received accreditation from the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. Schiller International University has been accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCS) since May 2023.
