Immigration Options to Canada as a Fashion Designer
Three ways to immigrate to Canada as a Fashion Designer:
|
Canada is the only G7 country to offer direct immigration access to talented foreign skilled professionals and their families to settle in Canada.
In this process, the federal Express Entry system is the most preferred pathway for permanent residence. The federal system is an application database and manages three immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skills Trades Program (FSTP) & Canadian Experience Class.
Canada takes as little as 6 months to process your application. Upon creating a profile in the Express Entry system, you will be entered into draws every 2 weeks for up to a year. It also allows you to improve your chances by improving your CRS score and increasing your chances of success each time the nomination draws are held fortnightly. Most foreign workers often opt for Express Entry as you also don’t need a job offer to qualify.
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) offers another alternative to the direct immigration pathway. Usually, PNPs allow skilled workers to immigrate to Canada if they have a valid job offer. Even though PNP applications take much longer to process, receiving a provincial nomination will effectively guarantee an invitation to apply for permanent residence as it is worth 600 CRS points and most PNPs have Express Entry-linked programs. This would mean any province can select your profile directly from the federal pool of candidates.
A much longer route yet the most assured route of gaining permanent residence in Canada is by gaining study & work experience in Canada before applying for permanent residency.
Upon graduation from any study course in Canada that is over 6-month in duration, you can apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). This will allow you to work in Canada on a full-time job at par with Canadian citizens or Canadian PR holders. With at least one year of full-time work experience, you can enter the Express Entry pool by qualifying for the Canadian Experience Class program.
